Background | Naloxone is a morphine receptor antagonist that is ineffective when taken orally, but takes effect quickly when administered by injection. Mainly used for the diagnosis of opioid overdose poisoning or addiction. It is also used for relieving respiratory depression and awakening after surgery with morphine based compound anesthetics. |
